Temptation hits us all in different ways. From a gang of mates telling you to do something you shouldn’t, to that little voice telling you to nick something while no-one’s looking… Temptation sucks because it always makes doing the wrong thing look good!

Temptation’s not wrong – even Jesus was tempted (Matthew 4). It’s giving in to temptation that’s wrong!

If someone’s addicted to alcohol they’ll probably find life easier if they stay as far away from the pub as possible! We should always pray “do not cause us to be tempted,” because the further away from temptation God keeps us – the better!

Jesus also warns us about our enemy (the devil) who’s all about tempting us to do wrong because he knows it’ll mess up our friendship with God. If we pray “save us from the evil one” – God can and He will! There’s always a way out with God!!!
