Week Two: Day Five

Walking Worship
“So brothers and sisters, since God has shown us great mercy, I beg you to offer your lives as a living sacrifice to Him.” - Romans 12 v 1

What do you think of when you hear the word ‘worship’? Happy-clappy songs in church? Monks chanting weird stuff?

Worship’s about a lot more than that – it’s an attitude of heart that says thanks to God. Maybe you think ‘what have I got to thank God for?’

What about because God’s shown us great mercy! If this was the only reason to worship God (there’s actually millions of good reasons), it’d be enough! God’s mercy is best seen at the cross!

Jesus’ death was a sacrifice – He was killed on the cross in your place so that you could be forgiven and made clean. That’s mercy!!! The best way to say thanks to God is to offer your life as a living sacrifice to Him!

That doesn’t mean actually dying on a cross. It means giving Him your whole life – living 100% all out for Him, not just yourself! That’s worship!
