Porkys, fibs, bull, chatting it, bending the truth …whatever you want to call it – it’s still lying! We’ve all done it and it’s probably got us in all sorts of trouble too!

Just like a mirror shows what someone really looks like, the 10 Commandments are all about showing us God’s standards and what He’s really like – that He’s perfect, holy and completely truthful. He’s never told a lie, never bent the truth and He never will!!!

The mad thing is that God wants to use us to show the world what He’s really like! That’s why He says you must not tell lies. He wants absolutely everyone to know that they can trust Him with their lives because He’s 100% trustworthy.

Ask God for the strength to always tell the truth! Remember that if you mess up and tell a lie – you will always find forgiveness at the cross!
